Shipping & Handling Policy:
Before receiving and signing for your shipment, please read this policy carefully.
All products shipped from Dedicated Plastic Tanks Inc. are received by the carrier complete and in good condition. Title of the shipment is passed to the carrier at the time of pick up and passed to you the customer upon delivery. Therefore, when receiving your order from a freight carrier, it is CRITICAL that you inspect your shipment at time of receipt. Freight damage to tanks received by all carriers, must be signed for as damaged. This is the only recourse you have with the carrier.
The first item any carrier requires on a claim for damaged freight, is the signed bill of lading showing the tank was signed for as damaged. If you have a damaged item and you signed for as damaged, you must then file a claim with the carrier for that item.
You the customer are responsible for Off-Loading the tank at the time of delivery.
We understand that late deliveries can cause great inconvenience and frustration to you the customer. While we strive to meet all delivery schedules, on occasion there are extenuating circumstances that are beyond our direct control. This usually has to do with freight carriers and associated problems on their end. In situations where a freight carrier has delayed your delivery for one reason or another, you can be assured that our shipping department will do everything possible to help remedy the situation and get your order delivered.
Truck Access Requirements:
Trucks up to 53 ft. in length may deliver your merchandise. In most cases they cannot enter residential areas, as there is insufficient room to maneuver and turn around. When this is the case, prior arrangements must be made with our sales department to deliver your order to a predetermined location, preferably a commercial business address.
Possible Additional Shipping Charges:
Additional shipping charges will be incurred and billed directly to you, the customer, if the delivery truck has to deliver your tank to a residential address or if a special truck (with power tailgate) is needed to make your delivery. Road conditions must be conducive to safe operation of the delivery truck, which is always determined by the driver Shipments that are re-directed to an alternate location, by the customer, may incur additional shipping charges, which will be billed directly to you the customer.
If your storage tank happens to be over-sized, or when any of the following are required or encountered: Special Permits, Pilot Cars, Special Routing, Road Construction, Re-Routing of Truck, Truck Size Restrictions, Customer Delays, etc., additional charges may be incurred and billed directly to you the customer.
